Modest Prom Night

Allie and Kimberly McBride were headed out to modest prom for our Stake. They put it on every year so the kids can actully go to a clean atmosphere and still feel the spirit and have a great time too.

(Madison hurried and put on one of Covinas old ballet outfits and some jewelry and wanted to go with the girls. It was so cute. They both looked beautiful.

Pinewood derby for our Conner

This was Conners first Pine Wood Derby competition. He was pretty excited. He and His Dad put this car together. Conner named in Fuzzy Thunder (so very cute) His car took first place. He has broken the Marchant curse of not to fast cars. He also received his wolf badge and some silver arrows. We had alot of fun.

The kids got to go down on the floor of the Blazers and give them a high 5 as they all ran through after half time. It was fun for them to see how tall they really are and how tall we really are not.

Ok so I had just had surgery a week ago. A hysterectomy! ( a body gone bad) and a bladder tie up ( a body gone badder) Anyways the only way I could make to the coliseum was to go by taxi. That was man powered by my family. I sure was not going to miss this fun time with the family. The story behing the feet--- Allie had bought new shoes and left them in the car to put on, on the way to the game. Well dad cleaned out the car before we went to the game after we had gone and done baptisms for the dead with the kids. ( Not Good) So we get to the game and Allie can not find her shoes and she was not happy:( Dad was not happy either cause he had made a mistake- very rare for the man. I said remember come what may and love it:) they did not think I was so funny. Anyways I gave Allie my shoes and just wore socks because I was getting a ride. At the end of the game my feet were freezing cause I spilled Conners drink all over one of them. It was quite the adventure.

Our Spring Break Vacation to Portland

This was the beginning of our spring break trip. We started at a hotel in Portland just to play and relax and to watch march madness.

Madison was our little Angel for our Nativity pageant. This is what she wanted to wear. Allie and Lindsey were our shepherds. Conner was a retro sorta wiseman. We were lacking some costume wear so the kids did their own designing.

Allie was excited about her new sport jacket she got for Christmas and she was just excited to be all together for Christmas. (we were lacking our other little Marchant Family)

I love spending alot of time with the kids when there are not so many things taking them away from the home and screaming for their attention.

These are some fun pictures Christmas Eve. Covina just arrived from the airport and was a little woosy and tired but still full of fun and everyone excited to see their sister.

We went to see the Princess and the Frog from Disney. Lindsey, Madison and Isaiah dressed the part for the movie. Dont they look like royalty!!!!!! The movie is great and the music really makes it.

Madison in front of the Temple. Her and Conner always get to touch the Temple when they meet Grandma and Grandpa to take them while we go do Temple work. This time all the kids from Isaiah on up were in doing Baptisms for the dead. It was Isaiah first time. He loved it. Lindsey just got a perm and a color. She looks beautiful as always.

Conner just got his wolf ranking in scouts. Dad got to turn him upside down to pin on his little badge. He was pretty excited about this accomplishment. And Allie celebrated her 18th birthday at Chevys with a balloon bouquet from her daddy. And Madison was just looking darling on her way to preschool that we just had to get a picture.

Kyle Rantz was baptized by Vaughn on Halloween Day. He has waited for almost a year to be able to do this. We have prayed and fasted as a family so that Kyles moms heart would be softened and sign the papers so he could become a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. It was a day filled with the spirit.

Halloween was so very fun. The kids looked awesome and they had a great time. Dad could not help but be a part of all the fun with as little bit of effort as possible. It had been a full day. Soccer, a baptism and than halloween fun.

Conner and His big brother Lucas before the Baptism. They were so very excited about sharing this special moment together. It was a great day. The spirit was very strong. Tracy and Lindsey gave the Baptism talk and the talk on the Holy Ghost. Conner is showing off his new scriptures and first set of his very own. He was truly beaming all day! Nothing could of topped this moment.

Here is Conner nervous but had been waiting for this moment for over a month so that his big brother and sister who live out of town could be there. Covina did not make it becasuse she was here last week and Conner was to sick to get to be baptized. He is so sweet I could just eat him up.

This is the Gang. The guys were getting ready for a night out at the OSU Beavers game. We had to feed them good before they left us. We were all enjoying some great grub and conversation together. We had a blast at Disneyland just the two of us. We really missed the kids being with us but were not quite as worn out running at our old pace. This is a parade we attended at California Adventure. Disney spares no expense as you can tell.

Here is my man at the main entrance of Disneyland. Everything is so very amazing and fun and family friendly. I love this place and it truly is one of the funnest places on Earth.

It was so great to be with so many friends and family as Covina went through the temple. It was a great day. She is such a faithful and great woman. It was wonderful to have all my kids home for the weekend. We were missing my Kristy and the grandkids very much. It left a great void not having them here with us.

So Vaughn and Isaiah are heading out to a scout camp out. We were gonna celebrate our Anniversary but it was either Isaiah get in his required camp out or we go out to celebrate our life together so far. He left it up to me. Of course I gave in so Isaiah would get what he needs to continue on his scouting. Let me tell you about this Man I married many moons ago. He never ceases to amaze me. He is the kindest, most gentle, sweet, loving, affectionate, thoughtfull, smart, funny, (ok Im pushing it a little.) energetic, organized, caring husband and father in the universe. It is pouring outside and he is all excited to eat a hot dog out in the rain with his little boy. He never complains. ( I do it enough for the both of us) He is very silent at times and just goes to work always taking care of what needs to be taken care of. Once when we lost power during a storm, Madison said daddy will fix it, He fixes everything. When he was wearing his wet suit at the beach and Madison saw him in it for the first time she said its superman. She got that right. I am truly the luckiest lady alive. He is a dream boat and I am living the dream. He is the most supportive father of our 8 children and very intune to their every need. Oh how I look forward to growing old with my very best friend. Vaughn I love you! You have made me the happiest and luckiest woman alive.

These are two of our missionaries that have been in our home quite a bit teaching 3 teenagers about our Savior and His gospel. Kyle in the back behind Allie will be baptized as soon as his mom gives him the go ahead. He has been going to seminary and church and ym/yw too. We have grown very fond of these two. Elder Weirich is leaving. He is the one next to Conner. He was a greenie coming here and this was his first area. What a spirit they bring into our home. I love our missionaries.

A life of a very busy Teenage Daughter

We were all kneeling for family prayer and Allie fell asleep during the prayer. We tried to wake her to sit up for family scriptures but it was hopeless. I am sure she was with us in spirit. She and Luke keep a pretty rigorous schedule. Up at 4:30am gone at 6am and back at about 8:30pm after basketball pracitice. We live for our weekends when we are all together as a family. They never complain just kinda shut down once in a while like this.

My Mother My Friend

This is my precious mother. Madison and my mom are coloring together while I was taking care of her. This is truly what it means by the circle of life. My mom growing up was always the most amazing mother in the world. From day one she gave everything she could give of herself to raise her 8 children. Growing up she was always there for me any hour of the day. She has always been a beautiful expample to me. She is very soft spoken, gentle, selfless, kind, encouraging, faithful and more. I love her so very much. She is now 70yrs. old and not able to care for herself. Her mind has been plauged with different thoughts running throug it that are not her. As I had her over to my house I was able to giver her a bath and wash her hair. She had put blush in it for coloring so it did not look grey. As I was helping bathe her I looked into her eyes and saw her. She is so helpless now and her body is somewhat broken down. She can not control her bladder. We can not talk about things as a mother and daughter as we use to. She can not really process what I am saying. She is like a little child. One I need to help care for as she has always cared for me. She likes to spend most of her time coloring. She gave Madison a color book while we were visiting her at her house. When I had her staying with me while my dad was in the hospital she saw the color book she gave to Maddie and said she wanted it back. Madison did not take to that so kindly. I talked my mom into sharing it with her and that was ok. I love her even though it is not really the mother I grew up with. I have the opportunity to give back a little of what she has given me over the last 46yrs. I dont really dwell on it because it hurts to much. A mother is always your mother no matter what and you dont expect her to change even if life does that to her and you dont have any control. Always love your mother and care for her and enjoy every precious moment. I am so very thankful for the beautiful mother the Lord has given me. Mothers are a gift from God. I love my angel mother.

The Marchant Wild Valentine Pary (Nerf Style)

The Kids really wanted to play nerf dart tag after our little valentine dinner. We had a great time except Madison decided she only wanted to shoot people and not to be shot. We were guest of the day at Disneyland. That is a big deal. We had special parking and did not have to pay. This is in the parade of Disney pixar movies. They were 16ft. tall at least. Lindsey had her face done for us to trick or treat that night. We were waiting in line for a ride. Soaring over California it is awesome. We love Disneyland or should I say mom does.

We all had a great time traveling to California. The kids and I had an adventurous road trip. We had plenty of snacks and movies to hold us over. Vaughn flew up and met us on Wednesday night. It was a very fun vacation together!!

Looks like Allies plan payed off. She jumped a 4ft. 8in. to take second in districts and on to state we go. Yipee!

This is the family after the awesome graduation ceremony. We are so happy to be together and to get to eat at Garcias in a few minutes. This really makes a mama proud. We were missing Tracy, Kristy and the girls to help celebrate this special moment with us. But the kids are always happy to be together.
